Advice
No two organisations or individuals are the same so there is no such thing as an off-the-shelf solution for training needs. We get that.

Our starting point will be to listen to your circumstances and your challenges. Through dialogue we’ll propose a solution that meets your needs. If we don't think we can offer the best solution, we’ll help you to find someone who can. We’d much rather established a relationship based on trusted advice than how well we can sell. This is because we’re confident that if we do, next time you need help, you’re more likely to come back to us for advice and at some point, one of our service offerings will be exactly what you need.

It’s also why even our apprenticeships are tailored to meet the needs of the specific individual and the organisation they work in.

Apprenticeships
We offer a range of apprenticeships aimed at office-based professions. Our subject areas include:

  • Management & Leadership
  • Finance & Accounting
  • Sales & Customer Service
  • HR & Recruitment
  • Estate Agency
  • Business Administration

We offer two types of apprenticeships:

  • Talent acquisition: ideal for bringing fresh young talent into the business. Where this is the case we offer a free recruitment service
  • Professional Development: ideal for addressing skills gaps and supporting progression for existing members of staff

Bespoke training
It is easy to think that buying a bespoke training solution will be prohibitively expensive. It doesn’t need to be. Especially in circumstances where there is a group need for training, the improved performance achievable from a bespoke solution can often reap huge rewards.

Our consultants will listen to your challenges and only recommend such a solution if we genuinely think you will get a significant return on the investment.

Even our bespoke solutions can also be attached to qualifications or units of qualifications if this is something you or your staff are interested in. At the very least it gives them evidence of their CPD that they can keep forever.

Boom Training and Development (BTD)
aimed at those for whom the apprenticeship route isn't suitable (there are a range of possible reasons for this). BTD offers a range of nationally recognised qualifications that provide an ideal balance between the convenience of short-sharp one-to-three day courses and the in-depth experience of an apprenticeship.

Boom Training is based in Southampton but delivers nationally through our ‘all-online’ delivery model.

The company was established in 2014 by directors who each have well over 20 years’ experience of developing, delivering and managing training in the workplace.

Why Choose Boom Training
It’s simple. There are two reasons we believe we’re the best ‘first port of call’ for support with apprenticeship training:

  • We offer genuinely impartial advice about the scheme. We understand that the scheme isn’t for everyone. So we won’t just try and ‘sell’ you apprenticeships (we know that doesn’t work). Instead we’ll take time to really try and understand your challenges and give you the best possible advice about how to overcome them.
  • If our apprenticeships are the answer, we’re confident in knowing that you’ll get the best possible service and support. We pride ourselves on our relationships with our client employers and we’ll involve you in the training right from day one so you can be sur you’re getting the best possible value from it.

Testimonials
“From the start BOOM have been very supportive. We are now almost 1 year in with our apprentice who has been a real asset to my company. As well as her daily role within the business, she has regular coursework to undertake and this is always followed up with a visit from the assessor working for BOOM. We're very pleased with the whole concept of the scheme.”

Julia Huelin: Director, Seko Logistics
“All the staff who are working with you have praised your support, understanding and flexibility. They are all aware of their responsibilities and are conscious of timescales but don’t feel pressured to the point where they lose enthusiasm for the course or lose sight of what they can achieve at the end of it. This is no doubt down to your approach and patience with our students so I want to personally thank you for what you are doing to help them achieve their goals. The difference in approach to their work is fantastic.”

Chris Beauchamp, HR Manager, Polaris Medical Services
“Yes, the support provided was as needed and the course content was spot on. We don’t have a track record of employing apprentices but the course was perfect for an existing employee to develop their skills. James’s management skills have developed well as a result of his learning on this course. He has been exposed to new ideas and strategies which he has put into practise in the workplace”
