Why do we need to promote our business online?

Promoting online is so important these days. To any size business, big or small. Digital marketing includes strategies like SEO, Pay-per clicks, email marketing, CRM, website design, social media and google analytics etc. These strategies are all important into getting an insight into your customers journey and to show what marketing strategies are working and what ones aren’t.

Tip 1- Know your target audience

Determining who your business is targeting is imperative. Not just who but how, you should be conducting a thorough research into what marketing best targets the age group you are targeting. For example if you are targeting the age group 18-30, it is suggested to use social media platforms like Instagram and Facebook. However, you should always use display adverts as you can choose what websites to have your company shown on, if it is 18-30 year olds you are targeting you could advertise on a fashion site or YouTube.

Tip 2- Produce engaging blog content

Content marketing produces more leads and is less costly than traditional marketing. Producing blog leads will result in an increase in internet sales as the content leads to more website traffic. Blogs like reviews and recommendations give customers confidence to purchase as they know someone else has tried it. Blogs boost your brand awareness and ranking of your product pages through relevant content.

Tip 3- Social media

Social media allows you to easily communicate with your customers. You can use social media to reach your customers better, create online networks and sell and promote your services and products. Social media builds customer loyalty and trust as you can gain feedback from them by consistently posting and updating your customers. There are many ways to promote your business like using influencers, display advertising, giveaways and branded hashtags etc. All of these strategies will help you gain impressions and build brand loyalty.

Tip 4- Strengthen your SEO game

According to a Hubspot study, 69% of marketers invested in SEO in 2021 and this is why: SEO when done properly can help your company gain a higher ranking and appear on the first page on the google results page. Why is this important? Because you want your customers to see your website as soon as they type in the relevant words to do with your service or products. without this you will get less traffic to your website as people are more likely to click on the higher links.

Tip 5- Improve your email marketing strategy

Email marketing allows you to stay in touch with customers and is an easy way to send customers the latest offers. Email marketing is a good way to build up brand recognition as you can customise a email with your brands colours and logos every time you send a n email, this makes your business more rememberable. When you’re constantly sending out campaigns or emails like ‘view this on our website’ you are generating more website traffic which will then turn into sales.
